Painted eggs, rhyming clues under the blossom, a bunny who knows the way, and a basket big enough to share.

One spring evening, the family paints eggs at the kitchen table: stripes, dots and one very wobbly rainbow. While the child sleeps, a grown-up hides them all over the garden with little rhyming clue cards: “Where the tulips nod hello, a painted egg waits down below!” Next morning, in the sunshine, the great hunt begins. A friendly brown bunny hops ahead as if it knows the way, past the pink blossom tree, the wheelbarrow and the watering can, to a hen and her fluffy yellow chicks peeping by the shed. The child's basket grows heavier and heavier, until they spot a little cousin with an empty basket and a puzzled face. So the child shares: one egg, then two, then half the basket, and together they find the very last golden egg, hidden under the bunny's favourite bush.
