A first-day-of-school book starring your child

Read it together the week before: your child packs their bag, walks through a new door and finds a friend on the other side. A gentle, brave story that makes the big day feel familiar.

The First Day at School

What you get

The big day, made familiar

The story walks through the morning step by step, so the real one feels like something your child has already done.

Your child wears the backpack

Add a photo and a name, and your child is drawn the same way on every page.

Brave is going in anyway

The lesson is gentle courage: feeling a little nervous and going in all the same.

Nursery, kindergarten or school

Change the setting, the teacher or the new friend to match your child's own school before you create.

One family's book, made with zeStory

Saddin's Cosmic Adventure

Made from the family's photos and a space adventure idea: a book to hold, a story to read, a film to watch and pages to colour.

The book

A hardcover to hold, or a print-ready PDF, made from the same pages.

Saddin sat in his room, surrounded by scattered star maps and robot parts. The faint hum of a thunderstorm outside made his heart race, yet his excitement bubbled beneath. He gazed at his latest creation, a small robot named Astro, glimmering with bright blue lights. "Astro, let’s explore space!" he whispered, as the first raindrop drummed against his window.

Questions families ask

Will my child look like themselves in the pictures?

Yes. You add your child as the hero once, and the same face is carried through every picture in the book, from the first page to the last.

What if I do not like a page?

You can change the words on any page, or ask for a new picture for that page, before you share or print the book.

Can the story be read aloud?

Yes. A narrator can read the story aloud in the language it is written in, and you can record your own voice reading each page instead.

How much does a story cost?

A typical 12-page illustrated story costs 81 coins. Narration, film and print are priced separately.
