The story
For Father's Day, the child takes command: the route, the snacks, the rules of the game, and one surprise kept in a pocket all day. Dad, who is usually the one who knows where everything is, has to be led — and by evening, sitting on a wall with the last of the snacks, both of them know something new about the other. For once, Dad follows the instructions. If the child is still a baby, they lead the way from Dad's arms, pointing and babbling.
