zeStory is run by zestory.art. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean zestory.art, and “you” means the person who holds the account. By using zeStory, you agree to these terms.
zeStory is for adults. To open an account you must be an adult, and the parent or guardian of any child whose details or photos you add. Children read and make stories only under the supervision of the parent or guardian who holds the account, and that adult is responsible for how the account is used. Keep your password to yourself.
Coins pay for the AI work in zeStory: writing stories, drawing pictures, reading them aloud and making videos. Coins have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, sold or moved to another account, except as marketplace earnings described below. Coins never expire. Prices are set in US dollars. Our payment page may offer to charge you in your own currency instead, at an exchange rate it shows you before you pay.
A plan renews automatically every month or every year, whichever you chose, and is charged to the payment method you paid with until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund part of a billing period. If we change a plan's price, you keep the price you signed up at for as long as your plan stays active. A promotion code lowers the price only for as long as the code says; after that, the plan's own price applies.
Refunds and cancellationEach plan includes the monthly coin allowance shown on the pricing page. Allowance coins are added to your balance, stay there after the month ends, and remain yours even after you cancel.
When you order a printed book, one of our print partners (Lulu, Gelato, Prodigi or Printful) prints it and sends it to the address you give. You see the full price, including shipping, before you pay, and delivery time depends on where the book is going. If a book arrives faulty or damaged, tell us and we will reprint it or refund it.
You can list stories you have made in the zeStory marketplace, at a price in coins that you set. When a story sells, zestory.art keeps a 15% platform fee and the rest is yours, credited to your coin balance, or paid out through Stripe where we offer cash payouts. List only stories you have the right to sell; we can remove a listing that breaks these terms.
The stories you make are yours: what you write and upload, and the stories, pictures, narration and videos made for you. So that zeStory can work, you allow zestory.art to store, copy, process and display them: to make your stories, show them to you and to the people you share them with, send them to the services that make and print them, and, if you list a story, show and sell it in the marketplace. We stop using a story when you delete it, except copies other families have already bought.
The Pro Author's plan includes a licence to sell the books you make outside zeStory, for example as printed books or ebooks through Amazon KDP, and to keep what you earn. It covers books you make and publish while your Pro plan is active. On other plans, books made with zeStory are for personal and family use, and you can sell stories only through the zeStory marketplace. On any plan, you need the rights to everything you put into a book.
Stories, pictures, narration and videos are made by AI. They can contain mistakes, may not look exactly as you imagined, and can come out differently each time. Please read and look at everything before you share it with a child or anyone else; you are responsible for what you choose to share.
Use zeStory for lawful, family-friendly stories. Don't upload photos or other material you don't have the right to use, or a child's photo without their parent's or guardian's consent, and don't try to make sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise harmful content, especially anything involving children. We check requests with automated safety tools, and we may refuse a request, remove content or suspend an account to keep children safe. You can report a story in the marketplace.

Read the privacy pageYou can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts children at risk. If you think we have made a mistake, write to us.
We work hard to keep zeStory running and safe, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, zestory.art is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
We may update these terms as zeStory changes. When a change matters, we will post it here and tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using zeStory after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel your plan and delete your account.
