The story
The child wakes up and the street has been replaced: white, quiet, and completely new. Everything has to be tried at once — the first footprint, the sound of the crunch, catching one on a tongue, a snowman whose head will not stay on. By the time their cheeks are burning and the mittens are soaked, the day has given them one perfect thing they will remember for years.
