The story
Today is the child's very first visit to the dentist, and they bring their favourite toothbrush to show how well they brush. A cheerful grown-up comes along to hold their hand. In the waiting room, orange fish swim round a bubbling tank. The friendly dentist and a smiling dental nurse say hello, and the dentist shows each tool before using it. Then comes the best bit: the big chair rides up, up, up and back down again, like a lift! The child gets cool sunglasses for the bright light, opens wide like a yawning lion, and the dentist counts every tooth with a tiny mirror: twenty little teeth, all there! A tickly polishing brush makes them giggle, and they learn the tooth-brushing song: little circles, top and bottom, for two whole minutes. At the end comes a shiny sticker, and a proud child with a sparkly smile who can't wait to come back.
