The story
It is the first morning of school. The child packs a backpack with their name on it, holds a grown-up's hand to the school gate, and lets go. Inside, the day turns out to be made of small brave moments: a coat peg of their own, a song in a circle, a friend who shares a crayon. At home time they run out with a painting and cannot wait to go back tomorrow.
