The story
Tonight is a big night: the child is sleeping in their very own big bed for the first time, with fresh sheets covered in tiny stars. The bedtime routine stays just the same: pyjamas on, teeth brushed, two stories and a sleepy song. A grown-up turns on a little moon nightlight and promises to peek in soon, and the child's teddy gets an important job: guardian of the big bed. In the soft golden glow, a tall, lumpy shadow appears on the wall. The child hugs their teddy, takes a slow breath and looks again: it is only their coat on its hook, with a woolly hat on top! They giggle, whisper “goodnight, coat” and drift off to sleep. In the morning, sunshine pours in, and a proud child runs to tell everyone: “I slept in my big bed all night!”
