Your own voice can speak a character's lines in the film, or read the book aloud. It takes a quiet minute.
1. Open the recorder
In a character's pop-up, press Record My Voice under Voice. On a finished story, the narration voice offers Record my voice too.
Tip: Recording a voice needs an account, and objects have no voice.
2. Read the passage aloud
Your browser asks for the microphone. Read the short passage at your normal pace, in a quiet room.
Tip: Hold the phone or laptop at arm's length and keep a steady volume; a room with soft furnishings sounds best.
3. Confirm it is your voice
Tick that the voice is your own. A voice may only be made from the person who is speaking.
4. Make the voice
Press the make button; the voice is ready in about a minute. The recording itself is deleted once the voice is made.
Cost: 60 coins (≈ $6.00) a voice, shown on the button before anything is spent.
5. Use it
Your voice joins your family's voices. Tap it on any character to have them speak with it in the film.
Tip: Delete a voice at any time from your family's settings.
What happens next
A recorded voice is private to your family and is never shared with other families.
