The story
Spread out on a low wooden table in the drafting workshop are giant rolls of blueprint paper covered in neat white grid-lines. Wearing yellow carpenter suspenders and brandishing a folding wooden ruler with bright brass hinges, the child is chief architect of Tomorrow-Town! Teaming up with a busy builder beaver wearing a miniature toolbelt, they set out into the sunny garden to build. Together they draft solar-roofed cottages from smooth balsa blocks, dig miniature moss-lined canals for rainwater, and construct a suspension bridge from twigs and twine so garden ants and ladybirds can cross safely. When dusk arrives, tiny LED fairy lights blink on across the miniature plazas, and the proud architect marvels at how ideas on paper become real places.
