The story
Beneath the soaring turquoise tiled arches of Baghdad's House of Wisdom, a young astronomy student carefully aligns a brass astrolabe toward the evening sky. Alongside a curious sand cat with soft tawny paws, the student references handwritten star charts, translates geometric texts, and traces the orbits of planets. When a visiting astronomer needs to calculate the seasonal water clock for the city gardens, the child spots a clever gear ratio in an ancient scroll. The scholars applaud the young student's insight, lantern light dances across fountain courtyards, and the night sky shines as an open book of wonder.
