The story
Beneath a velvety midnight sky crowded with brilliant stars, a young temple astronomer stands among the towering hypostyle columns of Karnak Temple. Beside a watchful desert eagle perched on a sandstone balustrade, the stargazer turns a delicate brass astrolabe to align with the constellation of Orion. By tracing the rising of the brightest star, Sirius, the child calculates the exact arrival of the annual Nile flood that brings water and life to the fields. The temple elders record the child's precise calculations on sacred parchment, honouring their dedication to reading the heavens.
